Overview of the hotel
Th8 Palm, managed by Accor, is a newly-opened 5* hotel on the Palm Jumeirah Island, inspired by the cool white sands and art deco atmosphere of Miami Beach’s fashion, glamour, and jet-set lifestyle. The hotel has direct beach View access and unobstructed views of the Palm, Dubai’s renowned skyline, and the Arabian Sea making it the ultimate luxury experience on the Palm Jumeirah. There are 162 guest rooms and suites in total and three food and beverage establishments with fresh and original themes. In addition, the hotel offers approximately 200 square meters of meeting space for various events, including small corporate meetings, product launches, team-building activities, outdoor receptions, and bespoke social events beach and poolside.
Responsibilities in Brief:
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all assigned bedrooms.
Take the initiative to provide the guest with a unique experience.
Take responsibility for guests’ privacy and belongings while providing excellent service.
Participate in hotel/department meetings and committees as requested.
Adhere to all Accor standards and regulations at all times to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
Respond rapidly to guest complaints, logging and notifying appropriate locations to assist guests. To ensure that checkout rooms are returned on time.
Keep current with all of the hotel’s guest services and events. Closely collaborate with the Housekeeping Coordinator.
Physically inspect any inconsistencies to determine their condition. In all parts of the hotel, report and follow up on engineering issues.
Maintain a presence at hotel meetings and committees as requested. Ensure that all guestrooms are equipped with appropriate furniture, fittings, and amenities and that all placement criteria are adhered to.
Collaborate with all Housekeeping team members to maintain and enhance LQA scores.Take an active role in daily briefings, warm-ups, and department meetings. When called upon, be able to participate competently in functions outside of the department.
Take note of any maintenance requirements, create an order, and ensure that repairs are done on schedule. To report any damage, special cleaning, or soft furnishings changes, and follow up as agreed. To make sure there is enough clean linen and supplies in the pantry. Ensure that all pantries are cleaned and surplus supplies are returned after each shift. The vacuum cleaners have all been cleaned, and the room attendants have completed all of the rooms. All lost and found items are taken to security and processed properly Ensuring that any health and safety issues are reported and followed upon. Ensure that the washrooms are clean and well-maintained.Additional responsibilities as given by the Housekeeping Manager
Requirements
Qualifications:
Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required.
A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
At least one year of housekeeping experience at a high-end hotel
Must be proactive and have a keen eye for detail.
